I ordered what I thought was a copy of my grandfather's birth certificate from the GRO. I got a PDF copy because I thought it would be quicker and cheaper. I'll attach a copy of what I received. Did I just pay £7 for something I already knew for free from other sites?
I found her marriage to James Ross Steel and it lists her as a widow at 32 and James was a bachelor aged 39 which I though was unusual, and their address was the same. So it looks like they were living together before marriage, which must have been shocking for the time.

If they are in Spennymoor, there is only 4 on the 1911 census that are around the right age.
