    Can someone identify this badge?

Yes this is highly likely. We are from wiltshire. On myheritage they give us access to all military records for about one week. But I can't find anything on him. Apparently most of his records were lost so its such a shame :(

    Looking for various people

Hmm. Sounds interesting and good information. Does sound quite plausible but it's still hard to say for sure it's her. Thank you still though. Any information is good information. It's hard to say. Would they still have records of anything back then? I have wrote that Richard may have been born...

Hi there. I have only been able to find one record at all on Mary Middleton. This is in a census and I can see she is there with Amos and Richard. This is an 1841 census and just says "Ag labourer". On all 3. There doesn't seem to be a husband or anything else and when I viewed it she was 50...

Oh thank you so much for this. Any other information is highly appreciated. Due to not being married, does this make it harder to find out about Mary's past?

    Looking for various people

Thank you! Ive had a bit of a look around. I dont fully understand what bbs or s/o means. Its possible she wasn't married as you said. So the last name Middleton comes from her? The dates seem pretty accurate but does that mean her last name is Spinster? Not Mary Middleton? If so where does the...

Hi there. I have done some research on my family tree and currently use Myheritage to fill it in. I keep getting to standstill points in my tree and am unable to go further. I google, research etc on individuals and find nothing or constantly find the same information I already have, which leads...

    Looking for Kyte family

It does make more sense now I think. So its either the father and son got mixed up or someone has miserrored his name if they are the same person. Iv'e got a lot of different pieces of information so far, so at some point this week ill go see my nan about it all and see if she has any...

    Looking for Kyte family

True. It's possible as one of the posts before had a James Kyte born in 1877, and could be him. I have asked my nan and she has no idea if he was in the military.

British army? Now that's interesting, i've never been told anything about that.

    Looking for Kyte family

This sounds closely correct so just to make it clearer and hopefully I'm not getting this wrong. So there is an Issac James Kyte and Henry James Kyte. Henry is the father and Issac is the son? So Issac is the one who married Mary Paget? Mary Paget the mother of Dorothy. And this Mother Mary...

    Looking for Kyte family

I have put down that Colleen is the daughter of Kathleen and my nan has said that she thinks there is a Patrick M Kyte along the line somewhere. She also said that she knows James was not born in Swindon.
