    It's me again ... According to the census of 1881 Jane Hughes, mother of Hannah Ellen Hughes was born in 1824. So I don't think Ann Hughes and Jane can be the same because their first child would be born when she was about 7 years old and Ann is 25 in 1814 ... so I think Samuel Hughes later...

    Pauline Elisabeth Janssens is the stephsister of my greatgrandmother. Her marriage made me curious about Frank Downes. She married in Liverpool after her first hisband disappeared and she left Frank Downes behind in Antwerp in 1913 as she left for Canada. Thanks for the reply Nicky
