    I saw your post on FHUK. I see that your grandfather served at Monte Cassino.

    I run battlefield tours to Monte Cassino so if you ever want to go out and understand exactly what your grandfather did, do get in touch. You will see exactly why a stretcher was needed that could get the wounded off the mountain safely and comfortably.

    Cassino is a quite amazing place and the four battles between Jan-May 44 are epic.
