No sorry, until 3 days ago I didn't even know that my great grandad was called Richard, Harry never talked about his family, my dad never met anyone from his dads family.

My dad says he has put them somewhere 'safe' which he now can't find, it was Harry's army service book as far as I know. Next time I visit I'm gonna have to check the attic!

That was just a guess based on a link further up the thread someone was kind enough to find for me.

Would I not need his service record number to search that? He would have been 49 when WWI started would he have been too old?
