    No he was back in Scotland by 1863 and died there so doesn't look like either of those. He would go out to Australia after 1851 and before 1863.

    While researching Dodds I found a George Kelly married my Margaret Dods at Kelso, Roxburghshire, Scotland in 1849.     Carmine is Cormine Deritis the 1921 census and is at Battersea. His place of birth is not given. There is also a person on Ancestry who has a tree with him in it but no further back than Carmine and no parents.
