i have been helping roy for about six years to find hugh ..

ww1 mystery the above was born in lidgate suffolk may 1900we have in the 1911 census ,joined army poss 1913 to 1914 sent home to mum poss joined up 1917 ,when correct age ..
the trained in england posted to the rhine became a sgt , the asked to go to egypt..
but left came home to england...

this is a big problem we have a photo in ww1 army uniform ,but the hat badge is fuzzy we think it is the suffolks ,but no luck as i live near bury st ads
according to his sons one is 82 had 2/3 medals mislaid or lost
1 was in rhine also a sergeant left so not to go INDIA. poss...

one or two things to double check on ref that census 1911
between these dates of 1911 and 1925 it is a complete mystery
we think hugh joined the army as we have a photo of him poss joined up under age sent home to mum ,rejoined poss about 1917...
