Hi the GSW stands for gunshot wound, and i think he was in the machine gun corps, do you have his service/pension records? if not whats his date and place of birth ? his medals where the britidh medal and the victory medal Andy

managed to do some more digging with the owner , his name was arthur challis brown and defo survived the war
