Yes. So frustrating. If I hadn't seen baptism, she wouldn't have existed. The family seemed to be doing it tough. Would they have adopted her out do you think? Would there be searchable records for that? Maybe they just left her in the workhouse😪

I looked on G.R.O but the mother's maiden name was not Southgate. I am in Australia so won't phone🙂

The baptism was found by a relative on ancestry. It would have been in Camberwell Surrey. The family lived in Sultan street Camberwell at the time of baptism. They were there in 1911 census, but no Violet. I couldn't find a death.

Thank you for all your help. I really appreciate . I have been able to find the families once they got to Sunderland area. Getting back has been harder. I am hoping Durham records online will put up some more records that will help. They must be held somewhere but I am in Australia. 😀
