Definitely Trice. Have Henry's signature cannot be mistaken for an s. Also Elizabeth called her son Henry Benjamin Trice born 1872 no doubt named after her step father. There is no mistake in the handwritten family record for the birth - it says Trice.
I also have handwritten baptism record...
I considered London, East London because there was another child who died around that time in that area. That puts the family in the east London/Deptford area around that time. They were living in Deptford 1861
Yes, wife Emma died Emma Trice 1887 Chertsey, married to Henry Trice in 1861.
Thanks Dave,
Probably not John F. I did see a death record about 1855 for a John Wickens but did not include it in my research because I couldn't be sure that it was John F.
I guess it is still a mystery.
Thanks
Hi Dave,
There is a baptism record for Elizabeth Jane. It appears to be the actual handwritten record from St Saviour, Southwark in Surrey Date of baptism is 10 March 1839. States DOB is Sep 26 1838. Elizabeth died in Meroo - a horrible death - her clothes caught alight and she died the next...
I personally do not have a lot of info about the Silva's. I do know someone who does but they are not well right at the moment. If you let me know what you need I will try when I can to get the info.
Also I was wondering whether you have researched the Wickens family back further than we have...
Your info is correct. I thought it was 2010 because when I was conversing on this board before you asked me about her and I said I would contact the relatives and find out and then I couldn't because she had just died and I couldn't talk to them about her, that is why I never answered you about...
Just one other thing Dave, where is Blackwall? Do you know?
His death certificate says his birth was London where Limehouse would pass for London. Blackwall supposedly Kent I think, would not be London.
Hi Dave,
Re Albert F G - he died in Milne Bay, I know it was not as a results of wartime combat but was illness either heart attack or dystentery. I can find out.
Re John William birth. I also saw that record about being born in Blackwall. John William's death certificate in 1926 says he...
Hi Dave,
Which particular ones don't concur with what you have - I might be able to give you some idea of the source that I got my information.
I have copies of baptisms, marriage and death certificates for John William and Elizabeth Vickers, the other info came from one of the people you...
Hi Cristine,
I will not post info on a forum about living people so you will need to send me a message via this forum with a contact or leave me your email address to contact you.
Elizabeth Jane Vickers born 26 Sept 1838 Bristol Somerset died Nowra 23/6/1902
Her father Richard Vickers, mother Mary Ann Johnson
John William born 23/8/1844 Limehouse, did not die 1860. He emigrated to Australia and died in April 1926 Nowra district, John William's father John Flowers...
Dave,
Are you still seeking information about Wickens? If so let me know what, I have now completed my research on the family and have much more info than before.
Hello Cristine,
I have fully researched the Wickens family and have a lot of info. I am also in touch with other relatives closely aligned to your side of the family and with the Silvas. I notice you are in ACT - there are other Wickens living in ACT closely related to you.
Please post or...
I am baffled that Emily Anderson is not listed in this marriage.
I have William Mortimer's death certificate, says he was born around 1823 Maidstone Kent England, married Chelsea (St Saviours) 1852. Their son's birth certificate cites Emily (nee Anderson) as mother. They left England after...
I am after any details at all pertaining to the above marriage of William Mortimer (birth Kent UK) to Emily Anderson (of County Norwich) at St Saviours in Chelsea England in 1852.
I have no details of where either of them came from, who their parents were etc, if anyone can help that would be...
