but what about the checking points that you could ask them to look against i.e fathers name, mothers name etc. this helped in some way in not getting a cert that was of no use, they use to charge £3 for each point they checked.

Sorry Dave and others forgot to say i have traced them in census up tp 1901 b ut can not find a death date or place, still a bit new at this.

Information I have so far: Ellen Evans married John Evans on the 8th June 1873 at St Paul’s church in the parish of Liverpool. Ellen was born c1855 in Bangor, Nr Wales, her father was Daniel Evans and he was a Marina. On the marriage cert it says under Age for Ellen that she was a ‘minor’...
