    That's brill, thank you so much! So these were Sarah Alderson Bland's Grandparents. But they weren't married when they had the first two sons. Im a little confused to where the name Bland comes from.

    Thank you, where did you find that obit? ive been trying to find them for so long but I have only ever found Sarah's? I wonder why Sarah didn't have a photo anywhere? We have searched all my Grandad's things but not one photo of his mother or the rest of the family.

    That sounds right, I was told that they had two children before they were married and then one after so used both names when naming John, hence John Alderson Bland. So it sounds like that could be true.

    I believe that is Sarah's Mum and Dad. I think to find out more about her (Sarah) I need to order her death certificate? Ellie.. that will be Sarah's Grandparents? I have noticed they use the same names throughout their family, Sarah, George, John and Nathan are the most used names...

    That looks like him Amanda I know that when his brother came out of the army he worked at a flour mill too so it fits. I'm not sure which is my nearest record office think it might be Preston. That be the easiest for me I live in Burnley. So I can order the poor relief record from there?

    Thanks Amanda. Yeah maybe it was a scandal then and he was still with his wife when he met my Sarah. That would explain it all. They may have never married because I do know Sarah only lived on her own, well with her son, after both her parents had died. Up until then they lived together

    I think that if Sarah did marry Jonas bland in the inghamtite church he was probably divorced when he met her. But they are so secretive it's really frustrating.

    Oh ok. Well the 1940 death was Sarah Alderson Bland I know that much. I will probably never find jonas but I like a challenge and I didn't think I would get this far so I replay do think it's worth a try. I just need to get better at researching this stuff
