Members: looking for information on Eddie/Ernie Elwell and his brother Dougie. Lived in Allcard St, Bewsey, Warrington in the 50"s. I used to play with them as youngsters. My parents owned the off licence on the corner of Allcard St and Folly Lane.

I have emailed quite a range of organisations seeking data on Harry and whilst everybody has replied to me they all say "head to the National archives'! I'm hoping my cousin in the UK will do it!

That was why I had doubts as other (small prints) images looked a bit different. My cousin is adamant that the photo is Harry, he remembers it on the mantelpiece of our grand parents home!

Gibbo: many thanks for the suggestion and I have emailed the RAF museum. Good news is that after discussion with my cousin I am convinced the photo is of my uncle, Phew! I'm hoping that my cousin who lives in England will seek Harry's service record and pay for it! I'm not going to hold my...

Gibbo all these years I thought this photo was of Harry. It was in his album and my cousin felt the same. But now I doubt it is. So frustrating this family research is I'm sure that he was at Driffield at least in 1936 and in 215 Squadron based upon the post card I have.

My wife's vision is clearly better than mine and she puts the date on the post card as 23 November 1936

Members: Whilst tidying a cupboard I have found an album that belonged to my uncle Harry Jepson and amongst the items there's a post card. It indicates that he was in 215 Squadron RAF Driffield. The post mark date is illegible Any body know about 215 Sdq? Also, in the album is a copy of two...

Solidrock2: I contacted 77 Squadron and a nice bloke checked a few things, found no Harry . I know he was at Driffield in 1938 but their records started in 1939! I'm advised to contact the MOD and get his service records. I'm happy to do this but at the moment I payment appears to be by...
