Had no idea about this time in history...got two brilliant books about Guildford and Ely today from a printers who were throwing them out...so had a read about Guildford and it had reference to the Cornish march...very interesting.
Eventually crushed after reaching Guildford you have to admire the fortitude of these men with the distance walked from Kernow.
The amazing thing to me is the fact of it being in 1497..even nearly 600 years ago men were prepared to give the ultimate for there lot...not alot has changed really since then i suppose.
Incidently Guildford was spelt Gildford untill fairly recent times and no one seems to know why the u was put into the spelling.
