IM trying to find a James Lawton born 1825
Dorrington hamlet near woore shropshire baptised
in Mucclestone the same year could be in staffs
or shropshire or cheshire thanks

Have you any other info as there are a few James Astwoods. As the place of birth isnt given in 1841 only if/or not born in county. :)

The only other info i have on James lawton is he married
margaret evans of buerton near audlem south cheshire
and he was in the 1851 census there i cant even find
his date of marriage

The family you found are related according to the
pr extractions i have and they add to the family any way
I should have mentioned his parents names which are
james lawton & charlotte nee barnes The problem with
the area is that there are many lawton families they
have been there for generations If it helps he had 3 brothers
thomas b 1814 william b 1819 mathew b 1821 and my james
b 1825

Thats the family James must be a servant
or aag/lab somewhere in the vicinity aged about 16 the
trouble is in that area shropshire stafford and cheshire
join up and as ive said he married a girl from buerton
near audlem cheshire which is close anyway

I think I may have found him.

HO107/0993/10/F8/p10

Dimsdale, Chatterley, Staffs.

James Lawton 15 Male Servant Not born in county

He's the only James Lawton of the right agein Staffs, Salop and Cheshire who seems to fit. There are a couple in CVheshire but I discounted them as it said that they were born in Cheshire. Not always correct of course. I have an ancester who in 1841 says he's born in Lancashire and in 1851 says Stepney, London.
