He is staying in the neighbours back yard and making a lot of noise. I guess he is not too happy. I did some more work on the chicken wire and bird net fence today. Mrs Gus was walking along the top of the fence so I gave her a good soaking with the hose.

I prefer the word soaking.

I'll have to go to Bunnings next Monday and get some more bamboo stakes for my fence.

The fence is 30 cm high and that should stop the mulch from being removed from the garden. The step after that with the leftover chicken wire is to partition the garden so the mulch can't be moved to one end.

Yes, Bunnings is good.

I have a choice of two right at a bus stop depending which direction I go and if they are in or out of stock at the time.

I'm making a few changes to the garden but it will take a few years for the five new plants to grow to a decent size.

Near the chair in that photo is a new clivia and a new bird nest fern both planted last month.

I had a Coleus plant in a big pot and it was beautiful and huge. Overnight the damn grubs got hold of it and it looked like it had been shot with all the holes in the leaves, thought i had gotten all the grubs but, nah, this morning there was hardly any leaves left. I threw a wammy and pulled it out and in the wheelie bin it went. I got a cutting off it tho so will start again. A good hardy plant but the grubs love them.

Good you got a cutting then. Easy to grow from a cutting.

My hibiscus in the pot is looking better with Gus kept away. He ate most of the leaves on it during August.

I have a small croton in a pot and it's growing very quickly. Only planted a month ago.
