Hi there,
Can sks please do a lookup in 1861 and 1871 census for me, for George BOWDEN who was born in 1842/3 in St George's in the East. His parents were Samuel and Sarah, but in the 1851 census they were shown as being 52 and 51 years old, so perhaps George was not living with them in 1861 census. I know George married in 1872 in Chelsea to Ann Clark, after having had a child with her prior to their marriage in 1870.
His brother was Edwin and sister was Mary, and they were in 1851, 19 and 14to his 8 years. George could have gone to live with them after his parents death. That is, if they had died before 1861.
Regards
Jackie
