How do you know that Thomas had died by 1878?

There are two possible deaths in 1880

Mar 1880 Pembroke 11a 574 aged 74
Dec 1880 Pembroke 11a 561 age 73

This could be him in 1871

Rg10/5515/F38/p10
Green, St Mary, Pembroke.
Thomas Williams 64 Boarder Farm Hand Carmarthenshire

Bording with a family called Brittle.

Thanks Emeltee.

Post #4 the shipping records normally lists parents - if dead by that date or if living then where living.

Says 'B. Dead' = both dead

Does not say that Emma's mother had died but she had. Lists her father Stephen Price as living in Pembroke which he was.

I have probably 50 shipping records and usually the details re parents are complete and accurate. A few miss one parent. Can't recall another one where parent was listed as dead and that turned out to be wrong. There might be one but it would have to wait until it's found as I cycle through my tree. Not a name I can recall.

Thanks Dave. I can find a few Thomas Williams born around the right time who died in Pembrokeshire between 1861 and 1878 but none in Monkton. There is no info on the burial records to be able to be certain which one is the one you are after.

Thanks Emeltee.

I think the 'both dead' would be accurate. No reason that I know of for George to say that if were not.

Stephen Price married three times so perhaps George provided the details re wife's parents and left her mother off the list.
