1861 census lookup - John Roberts

Hi there,

Please could someone look in 1861 census for :

John Roberts Born abt 1812 Ports, Hampshire

I have him in 1881 census as Seaman Pensioner, and his wife as Ann, a Laundress. They had two sons, William and Charles in 1839 and 1842 respectively in Bramshaw, Hampshire.

I can't seem to find them on 1861.

I think that I have found them on 1851. Is this your family ?

John Roberts 38 born Portsea Hants
Elizabeth Roberts 3 born Portsea Hants

it states:

John Roberts occ 'Captain Hold' age 50 born Ports, Hants,

Married but obviously away on census night onboard the ship.

let me have a scout about see if I can find the wife..

Ann Roberts aged 61 launderess, born, waterford Ireland

seem to be very elusive...

same as Lizanne found.

1841 lots to choose from....

havent found one with a child william though
