You can look up the 1881 census free, you will find this on
www.familysearch.org
this site is provided by the LDS (Mormon) church and lists many baptisms, & marriages, not all, but many millions of them
There is also the 1881 census for the British Isles
To access this, just click on first to "Ancestors" on the left hand side, then again on the left hand side, look down the list for "census" click on, when site opens.you will be asked which census you want, click the 1881 for England, all you do then is insert the name you are looking for nd if you know it, the country "England" then if you know it, the county. When the page omes up, fill in the name you are seeking, also the year of birth if you know it. but not really necessary, there is a give & take minus or plus.
you will then be presented with a list of the names, click on the one you think is the right one, and when it comes up, if it the correct one, click on to the "household" to see the whole family
It is also possible to use the Ancestry site free for the 1881 census, and that will giv e you a print out of the original census page.
