Rob, Is Beech her married name because the Edeith Beech I found born abt 1872 in Faversham Kent was married to a Frederick in 1901, which would have made beech her married name. The oldest child in was 8 years old in that census so if that was her she may not have been married on any of the previous census.

born,1865,died,1951.
they lost their son,alfred horace beech,1915(ww1),aged,18.
their address then was.
1 council cottage
catts place
paddock wood,kent.

i chose edith,from,faversham,hoping she was the one married to charles.

I have found Charles Beech in 1891 living with his mther and step-father. Aged 26 and sngle. I will email this census along with the 1871 census to you now.

On ancestry I found a Charles Beech being married in Q4 1891 in Tonbridge, Kent, ref 2a 1146. The female names on the same page are Annie Louisa Lewis and Annans Jane Wells. Annans seems like an odd name, maybe a transcription error.

I couldn't find an Edith J. Wells on the 1891 census, so this may just be a blind alley, but you never know. I also couldn't find Charles and Edith in the 1901 census on ancestry.
