My great great grandfather William Hamilton was 3rd in the seniority list as a Head Constable and pensioned off in 1886 so I was expecting it to say Pensioner.

Until I found that marriage I didn't know Susan's father was also in the R.I.C. so don't have his service record and can't say when he was pensioned off.
