Hi,

I an new to this, and I am trying to find out further information on my Father in Law, Alfred Patrick Spalding, born on 17th March 1916

I have reason to believe his parents James William Spalding and Mary Ann(e?) Splading lived in 9 Anns Cottages, Green Street, East Ham, London, for several years prior to 1916.

IS it possible to find out who was liiving at 9 Anns Cottages at the time of the 1901 Census, as my Father in law was the youngest of 13 Children, so it would be nice to know something about the place of birth.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Ollie

Hi Ollie - welcome ;D

Go to 1901censusonline. On the left hand side of the screen, you will see some search options. There is one for addresses. Click on it and it should bring up two boxes - one for the street and number and one for the area. I typed in Green Street and got a result. However, in order to view the actual entry and see who was living in the house at the time of the census, you have to subscribe. Hope this is of some help to you!
