1901 - Glamorgan

Trying to track down great grandparents address, etc in 1901. My grandmother was born in 1900 (Q1) and called Alice Mary Watts, birth registered in Pontypridd area. I know my gr-grandmother was called Mary, not sure about gr-grandfather, always thought he was Fred. Can't find them so far, can anyone assist?

Yes, proving a little difficult to find.
Found your Grandmother's birth but no trace in the census.
Can only suggest you order a copy of her birth cert and it should confirm both parents names and addresses at time of birth.

There is family in 1901 surname transcribed as Walto.

Alice wife age 23 born Mountain Ash
Alice M dau age 1 born Mountain Ash

The surname looks like it could be Watts. I looked for a marriage for a Frederick Walto to an Alice, but found a marriage for a Frederick George Watts to a Alice Oriel in the registration district on Pontypridd, year 1899, December 1/4.

As SML suggested the birth certificate will confirm the parents names.
