Mr. John Gibson, a resident of the district for
the past 30 years, died to-day, at the age of
82, the cause of death being senile decay. De
ceased came to the State in 1855. He was
father of the Rev. Samuel J. Gibson, who is at
present in the Wesleyan ministry in New Zea
land.
