The Union Church at Rydal was the scene of a wedding of a semi-military character, recently, when Annie, second daughter of Mr. W. Glasson, of
''Violet Hill,'' Rydal, was married to Sergeant Harold. Russell Commens, late of the A.I.F. The bride etc…

The Cumberland Argus & Fruit Growers Advocate Wed 5 Sept 1923 – death of Agnes Glendenning.
At the ripe old age of 78, Mrs. Agnes Glendenning, of Perkins-road, Rooty Hill, passed away on Sunday, the 2nd inst.,at the Penrith District Hospital. Deceased, who was a native of Scotland, arrived with her husband and family- at Rooty Hill, nearly 40 years ago; and had resided in the locality until the time of her death. The interment: took place on Monday, in the Presbyterian: portion of the St. Mary's Cemetery.,
