OBITUARY
MARY ANN MURRAY
The death occurred at her residence in Summer Street, Orange, of Mrs. Mary Ann Murray, relict of the late William Murray, at the age of 75 years. The late Mrs. Murray, who was born at Ploughman Creek, Orange, was a member of the McCutcheon family, and had lived at 'Yarran Grove,' near Yullundry, for 45 years. When her late husband died, she went to Orange 11 years ago, where she resided up to the time of her death. Deceased, who was one of the pioneers of our district, was loved and respected by all, her kindly nature having endeared her to all with whom she came in contact.
She left a family of five sons, Messrs R. S., W. B., W. G., Jas. and J. W. Murray, and four daughters, Mrs. D. W. O'Brien, of Cumnock, Mrs. R. L. Paddison, of Fairfield, Mrs. J. G. Kirkwood, of Sydney, and Mrs. J. H. Young, of Cumnock. One sister, Mrs. J. Johnson, lives at Kogarah, Sydney, and a number of step sisters and brothers, including Messrs William and Andrew McCutcheon. The late Mrs. Joseph. Barter was also a half sister of deceased. The funeral, which left Orange on Thursday morning, proceeded to the Bruce Memorial Church, Cumnock, where a memorial service was held by the Rev. Charles Yuill, of Orange. The remains, which were interred along side her late husband in the Presbyterian portion of the Cumnock cemetery, were followed by a very large number. Mrs. Ford and Sons, of Orange, had charge of the mortuary arrangements.
