Mr. James Ryder, for many years a well known and highly respected resident of Douglas Park, died at his daughter's residence in Broughton St. Camden, on Friday last, 16th inst, at the age of 73 years. Mr. Ryder was well known throughout the district, born at Campbelltown shortly after the arrival of his parents from Norfolk, England.

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT.
One of the oldest and most respected residents of this district passed away after a long and painful illness on Sunday, 15th instant, in the person of Mrs. Susannah Ryder, relict of the late Mr. Thomas Ryder. Born in Little Ellingham, Norfolk, England, on 23rd June, 1824, the deceased lady was within a day or two of attaining her 78th year. Married in 1849 and came to New South Wales in the ship Hydaspes in 1853 with her husband and one son.
