That birth would be a close fit for the 1906 death..

Geoff
That's the connection to my tree so working both ways from the marriage.

1937 death is correct and it gives age at death.

Death 25446/1937 TURNER JOHN - JOHN - FANNY - MARRICKVILLE

The Sydney Morning Herald - Friday 10 December 1937 p.10
DEATHS
TURNER.-December 9, 1937, at his residence, 28 Cook Road, Marrickville, John, dearly beloved husband of Florence Turner, and loving father of Valentine, Eric and Lancelot, aged 67 years.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Tuesday 19 October 1948 p.12
DEATHS
TURNER, Florence Louisa.-October 17, 1948, at her residence, 10 McArthur Parade, Dulwich Hill, widow of the late John Turner, loved mother of Val, Dick and Lance.

So a birth abt 1870 with parents John & Fanny. Looking at these I'm now wondering if it has to be 2x John & Fanny.

Births
349/1859 TURNER MARGARET J - JOHN - FANNY - SYDNEY
... gap ?
7106/1878 TURNER EDITH JANE - JOHN - FANNY - ST LEONARDS

7106/1878 TURNER EDITH JANE - JOHN - FANNY - ST LEONARDS
This may be a problem for one of the 2x John and Fanny..

John Turner
Death Date: 1876
Death Place: New South Wales
Father's name: Thomas
Mother's name: Margaret
Registration Year: 1876
Registration Place: Waterloo, New South Wales
Registration Number: 3826

The Sydney Morning Herald - Friday 28 April 1876 p.1
DEATHS
TURNER.-April 24, at his residence, Botany Road, Waterloo, John Turner, native of county Tyrone, Ireland, aged 39 years, leaving an affectionate wife and six children to mourn their loss.

He was a grocer.

I think that is the one who married Fanny DANE. She remarried:

2nd Marriage 2507/1881 MAYO JOHN - TURNER FANNY - REDFERN * 27 Jun 1881

Death 10902/1916 MAYO FANNY - JOSEPH - SARAH - ROCKDALE

The Sydney Morning Herald - Monday 24 July 1916 p.8
DEATHS
MAYO.-July 22, 1916, at her residence, Fermanagh, Wollongong-road, Arncliffe, suddenly, Fanny, relict of the late John Turner, aged 78 years.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Monday 24 July 1916 p.7
FUNERALS
MAYO.-The Friends of the late Mrs. FANNY MAYO are kindly invited to attend her Funeral, which will leave her late residence, Fermanagh, Wollongong-road, Arncliffe, THIS AFTERNOON, at 12.30, for Church of England Cemetery, Rookwood.
JOSEPH MEDCALF, Undertaker, Redfern.

---

So this birth north of the harbour would be a different John & Fanny.

7106/1878 TURNER EDITH JANE - JOHN - FANNY - ST LEONARDS

But the John born abt 1870 who married SALMON could be son of either of 2x John & Fanny.

John T born 1863 died 1906 would be son of Fanny DANE.

That leaves the one in my tree the son of the other John & Fanny.

We need one more marriage and two more deaths.

Rain is on its way so I'm off to do some gardening.

Catch you later Geoff.
