Windsor and Richmond Gazette (NSW : 1888 - 1954) - Friday 16 January 1925 p.4
MRS RACHAEL HESSION
The death took place on Saturday last of Mrs. Rachael Hession, relict of the late Patrick Hession, who died some 16 years ago. The deceased had been living with her son, Mr. Frederick Hession, of Oakville, where she died. The late Mrs. Hession was born at Bombay, India, on 25th December, 1847, and was therefore 77 years of age last Xmas Day. Her father, the late Henry Clinton, was a soldier by, profession and served, with the rank of Paymaster Sergeant, with the Regiment of British Regulars in Bombay. His daughter, the subject of this notice, went to Ireland, and at the age of 17 years, in 1864, she came to Australia with two sisters, both of whom predeceased her. In 1876 Miss Rachael Clinton married Mr. Patrick Hession, in Windsor. They lived at Box Hill (Rouse Hill) ...

The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, and moved from the residence of her son, to St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Windsor, and the remains were laid to rest in the historic cemetery there.

The death of Mr. Patrick Hession, of Forrester, occurred with shocking suddenness in the grounds of. St. Matthew's Church, Windsor, on Tuesday morning week. He assisted at early Mass in the morning, and intended remaining for the closing of' the Forty Hours' Adoration. He brought his breakfast with him, and whilst eating it fell back, and died immediately.
When he left home in the morning he was apparently in excellent health.

Deceased Was 76 years of age, and was twice married. He was very highly respected, and was a man of good heart and excellent principles. The funeral took place the following morning, the remains being conveyed from St. Matthew's Church to Riverstone Cemetery, and was followed by a large number of vehicles and horsemen. At the cemetery a big concourse of people assembled. The Rev. Father B. A. McDonnell, P.P., officiated at the grave. —R.I.P,
