MRS RACHAEL HESSION
The death took place on Saturday last of Mrs. Rachael Hession, relict of the late Patrick Hession, who died some 16 years ago. The deceased had been living with her son, Mr. Frederick Hession, of Oakville, where she died. The late Mrs. Hession was born at Bombay, India, on 25th December, 1847, and was therefore 77 years of age last Xmas Day. Her father, the late Henry Clinton, was a soldier by, profession and served, with the rank of Paymaster Sergeant, with the Regiment of British Regulars in Bombay. His daughter, the subject of this notice, went to Ireland, and at the age of 17 years, in 1864, she came to Australia with two sisters, both of whom predeceased her. In 1876 Miss Rachael Clinton married Mr. Patrick Hession, in Windsor. They lived at Box Hill (Rouse Hill) ...
The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, and moved from the residence of her son, to St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Windsor, and the remains were laid to rest in the historic cemetery there.
