2nd Field Bakery RASC WWII

Valued Member
My late uncle served with this unit, and there is a letter from him to my late parents which indicate he had joined before the outbreak of WWII. Furthermore, he was one of many from this unit that were on the HMT Lancastria when it was sunk off St Nazaire on 17th June 1940. I would like to get details of this unit, when they were sent to France, where they were, and how they arrived at St Nazaire before they lost their lives aboard the ship.
If anyone has any idea of any of these details, where to look, (I've not got very far with the internet searches to date), I'd be really grateful.
Many thanks
