Thank you very much. Probably the same George with Roude/Rowde.

Trying to eliminate all the Mary Ann's born 1840-1843 in and around Devon I can by finding them in 1861 and again in 1871. The one in my tree was in Australia in 1863.

Age is a out so perhaps not the one born 1840:

Ruddle Mary Ann Devizes 8 297
Births Sep 1842
Ruddle Mary Ann Melksham 8 346
Births Dec 1843
Ruddle Mary Ann Taunton 10 469

It still might be an exercise that gets me nowhere.

This is probably the one who married George so have not yet ruled out the 1840 Devizes or the 1842 Melksham one yet.
