On my mother's side of the family is The Murrays from Parramatta Australia. My Grandmother was Mary Kathleen Murray (1892- 1979) married Sidney Graham 1921. Her parents Elijah John Murray and Annie Elizabeth Stowe married 1884. I know a fair bit about her and her siblings as I have many memories, including photos. It is Elijah John that has always been an unknown, as the story I was given is that Murray was not his real name and his mother was Procter (or maybe Proctor). She travelled to Sutton Forest to deliver Elijah John and then took him back to Parramatta. My Great Grandmother always said in a whisper Granny Procter was a street walker. I love that I remember her whispering the family secrets.
