Several Peacock families eneded up in Wales for a few years working mainly on the railways. The 1848 one could well fit in my tree somewhere.

... although 1861 has Aaron as 9 and George as 8.

Thanks Geoff.

That complicates things. The baptism is clearly the right George.

The 1891 household St Philip & St Jacob Out might help thanks.

Aaron junior and his brother George sailed off to New York in 1869 and George stayed in the USA and became naturalized.
There are now lots of his Peacock descendants in Pennsylvania where he was a miner. Aaron came back to Mount Hill.
That could explain why they can't be found in 1871.

The ages 8 and 9 in 1861 would indicate they are not twins and the George born 1852 and in 1891 is a different one.

Yeah. Would seen so although 1861 has them both born Poil near Swansea. The 1852 Swansea is probably Aaron unless another reg can be found. The 1853 Llanelly would fit the baptism record for George. No baptism for Aaron?
