Hi All,
As Iv"e mentioned in another Post on here, I can"t find my Relie"s The Burrows Family in the 1901 Census. I have them in 1891 & 1911, but 1901 they seem to have been Abducted. Can anyone think of a reason why a Family if at least 7 People would not appear? According to what I have found from the Free BMD Site, William and Mary Jane Burrows had the following children: Sarah b 1889 in Leigh, Ann b 1891 in Leigh, Albert b 1893 in Leigh, Mary b 1897 in Prescot, Henrietta b 1899 in Earlestown (Warrington) and then Martha Ann b 1902 in Prescot,William b 1905 in West Derby Gladys b 1907 Leigh and Ethel b 1910 in Leigh, so it"s not as if they could have left the Country with that Tribe of Kids
William was a Miner so it sounds to me that he was moving from Pit to Pit, so why can"t I find them?:(
I would be grateful for any thoughts at all on this ,before my Sanity is severely Impaired:eek:
Littlemo xx

Hi Littlemo

I have had a good look and found a Barrow family but the Head of household William was a cotton winder.

Where were William and Mary Jane born?

Ben

Hi Ben, Thanks a lot for getting back so quick, Mary Jane was born in Haydock in Sept 1868 and William in Abram Nr. Wigan (Ithink) in 1871

Hi Mo,
I had the pleasure of looking for Burrows in my tree. Transcribed as Barrass/Burroughs etc., so I can see your plight.
It is possibly transcription errors.

Don't panic, they are there somewhere.

Hi Mo,
Don't get the chance to see Paxo destroying MP's here in Ireland. Wiill have to have a look at BBC iplayer.

Have you tried a search with all the details, but leaving out the surnames.

It's worth a try.
