Looking for information about ADA Stevians (as spelt on marriage certificate, banns and child's birth register) born abt 1858. Unable to find any evidence of her prior to marriage, often mistaken for ADA Stevens born in Cardiff but this has been proved wrong. Any help appreciated

Is she Ada Liversedge, b c 1855. Leeds in 1881?
According to GRO Index all three children named have mmn of Stevens. Only entry on Free BMD in name of Stevians for any event at any time is for her marriage.

I note that the two eldest girls have a middle name "O" and I found a reference that suggests this could be Othick.
The names John Stephens and Ellen Othick appear on the same page of the marriage register for Hunslet June 1849.

Of course, could be entirely coincidental.

Thank you both. Yes Othick is in the family. My great grandmother being Florence Othick Liversedge. With regards to Stevians her name was corrected on her Banns from Stephens to Stevians and one of her sons accoring to the GRO birth index has the middle name of Stevians. She's been an enigma for years

Do you have a copy of Ada's marriage certificate? It should give her father's name and occupation. It is also possible that the witnesses could be family members which might help to identify her.

John Stephens married Sarah Prince in 1849 so nothing to do with your family

After having a google, found a query of yours on another site some years ago. Someone had found the marriage. Gives fathers name George Stevians occupation book keeper. One of the witnesses was a Edward Thornhill.
