Hi there,
I am new to the community, but have an interest in this family too. You may have this info, but thought I would post this to help
Adam Keltie
Born - 17th Feb 1857
Christened - 5th March 1857
Address - West Vennel, Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland
Adam was Born two days after the death of his father, James and christened two days after the death of his eldest brother, also named Adam.
He married - Jane Oliver on the 24 Jun 1887 who was of 58 Campbellfield Street, Glasgow, Scotland
They then moved to New York in the summer of 1889
The children they had were
1. KELTIE James - Born 14 Sep 1888, Springburn Road, Glasgow, Scotland
2. KELTIE William - born Sep 1889, Brooklyn, New York, USA
3. KELTIE Adam, born May 1892
4. KELTIE Robert - born Oct 1894, Brooklyn, New York, USA
5. KELTIE John - born 11 Mar 1899, Brooklyn, New York, USA
I am not to sure yet what happened to Adam after moving to the states, although I understand he died in 1900, but by the 1900 census in the states Jane Keltie (nee oliver) was registered as being a resident of Long Island College Hospital, 5th Avenue, New York, USA
The children James, William, Adam, and Robert were registered at Orphan Asylum Society, 1923-35 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, USA. While the youngest child John Keltie was registered at Brooklyn Nursery Infant Hospital, New York, USA.
I am unsure of what happened to the rest of the children, but the youngest, John Keltie, went on to live at 642 Wilson Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, USA and married a Emma Stites on the 7 Dec 1921 Brooklyn, New York, USA
Hope this helps fill in some gaps. I have a lot of original documents and photos handed down our family line for the Masterson's, Keltie's , Cauldwell's and Gourlay's all associated with this line and I am happy to share if I can help anyone.
Thanks.
