If you haven't got Adam's death, 1908 fits better with Age/place...

1908 MOODIE ADAM M 67 ST ANDREW (DUNDEE) DUNDEE CITY/ANGUS 282/04 0244
1911 MOODIE ADAM M 60 DUNFERMLINE /FIFE 424/00 0030

Thanks Geoff.

I have not looked for a death for Adam.

I can't find a birth/bap for Adam 1839 Dunfermline in FS.

I don't yet have Adam in 1841 or 1851:

Dave

Just found him too, Clackmannan in 1841...

This looks like his birth:
31/08/1839 MOODIE ADAM JAMES MOODIE/ANN KELTY FR4071 (FR4071) M DUNFERMLINE /FIFE

Geoff

Thanks Geoff.

That fits.

From a submitted record that is the baptism date.

And his father:

'James Mudie, workman in Carnock and Elisabeth Thomson his spouse had a son born upon the 2nd Nov. and baptized upon the 4th of said month in presence of the congregation, called James.'

c. 4 Nov 1792 Carnock, Fife

Hello Jim and welcome to the Forum

My line is via Elizabeth the elder sister of Agnes (Ann). I've tried to fill in as much as I could of all Elizabeth's siblings for my tree but still have lots of gaps. Not even sure I have the right set of siblings with mother's name sometimes Dundas(s), or Blair or Blair Dundas. Have not sorted the Dundass & Blair bit out yet.

27/02/1785 KELTY ELIZABETH ADAM KELTY/ELIZABETH DUNDASS F CULROSS (PERTH) /PERTH 343/00 0020 0552

James SANDS and Elizabeth KELTIE marriage about 1805 has not been found in Perth or Fife Parish registers.

Death 1856 - Viewfield Lodge, Dunfermline, Fife - Age 72. Parents Adam Kelty, seaman deceased and Elizabeth Kelty M.S. Blair, deceased; Inflamatory fever; buried at New Burying Ground, Dunfermline; witness William Swan living at New Row.

Dunfermline Abbey Interments:
Mrs Sands of East Port St - Age 72 - Died 24 Aug 1856 of Influenza and buried 27 Aug 1856 Stranger Ground No. 3 8th room centre plot.

I don't have birth/bap date for Agnes (Ann).

James MOODIE & Agnes KELTIE
8 May 1818 Saline, Fife
Batch: M114554

Death: 1859; Milesmark, Inverkeithing, Fife, Scotland; recorded at Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland; Ann Moodie; wife of an engineman; married; age 61; parents Adam Keltie, ship carpenter, deceased and Elizabeth Keltie M.S. Blair, deceased; abcess of kidney; buried at the burying ground, Dunfermline; witness Christina Moodie, daughter.

Thanks dave. I haven't looked into any part of that side of the tree.

One thing I did pick up from your searches was the following:

1861 Scotland census
Civil Parish: Bathgate
County: West Lothian
Address: Branch Turnpike (west Side)

BEVERIDGE James head 1832 age 29 Coal Miner Dalgetty, Fife
BEVERIDGE Elizabeth wife 1834 age 27 Dunfermline, Fife
BEVERIDGE James son 1853 age 8 Dunfermline, Fife
BEVERIDGE Robert son 1855 age 6 Cambusnethan, Lanark
BEVERIDGE David son 1856 age 5 Cambusnethan, Lanark
MOODIE Adam brother-in-law 1841 age 20 Teacher (ordinary Branch) Dunfermline, Fife

I have that Adam was married to Jane Watson so where does the brother-in law to Beveridge come from?

Thanks, JIm

I'll see if I have that connection. If not it becomes a new query.
