help please . Dose anyone know if when you were adopted in the early 1950's if you were then re registered on the oficial register with your new name and same D.O.B as born with or a different D.O.B or if you were just registered on adoption register and still on oficial birth register as what name you were given by blood parents ! (not sure if this makes sence ) !!!! :(.........

All I can say is, my wife was registered as usual, with her biological parents names.
She was then re-registered with her adopted parents names, using the same birth date. This was in 1963.

steve thanks .... i have been looking at alot of different sites , the gist i got that you were registered as adopted and your original birth certificate had adopted written on it ! i am confused the more i read :confused: i can see the original birth certicicate on line on geans.com ... but i dont know the name that the adopted person would of got named when adopted ! sorry if i am not making alot of sence now. think i have been reading to much and trying to find the person without paying out loads to go through agency's
