Hello,

Death 1904 Agnes ANGEL Kelvin, Lanark Age 50

I'd like a look up please for Agnes in 1901 and 1891.

Probably Lanark as the marriage was in Blythswood, Lanark in 1888.

Regards,

Dave

Hello dave,

Yes, her married name - maiden name MUNRO.

There are very few ANGELs in Scotland with 99% being descendants of a soldier born in Devon who was stationed in Scotland and ended up in Paisley where he married.

A grandson

1860 ANGEL SAMUEL DOW M OLD OR WEST KILPATRICK /DUNBARTON 501/00 0171

Samuel Dow ANGEL b. 27 Oct 1860 Old Kilpatrick, Dunbarton
- parents Thomas ANGEL & Mary CLEMMENT

married Agnes MUNRO in 1888.

While the death 1904 death does not have 'munro' as the 'other surname' I can find no other Agnes ANGEL the right age to fit other than it being Samuel's spouse.

If you can find Samuel after 1888 that would be great but it's possible he left the country with his older brother. I can't prove that yet and I don't know if Agnes went with him or not. If Agnes can't be found in 1891 and 1901 then perhaps she did but then it would mean she returned home where she died.

I don't have a copy of the 1904 death. It's on my list for the next batch of credits.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,

There a few people called Angel in 1891 and 1901, in Scotland, but none called Agnes.

Had a look on FMP for passengers leaving the UK, but the lists don’t start until 1890.

A Saml M Angel left Liverpool for New York in 1894, but there is no listing for Agnes!

Sorry not much help. :(

Hello Josie,

Thanks for looking.

This is a revisit but it is still a brick wall it seems.

Sometimes it is ANGELL or even ANGLE in the records.

Regards,

Dave
