No baptism found for Agnes, daughter of Robert & Agnes, or for any siblings.

Seems to be only 3x Robert old enough in 1841 in Renfrew and Lanark.

GILMOUR ROBERT 77
Paisley Renfrew

GILMOUR ROBERT 75
Barony Lanark

GILMOUR ROBERT 70
Bothwell Lanark

1851 has Agnes born Paisley.

The Agnes who died in 1855 aged 57 was the daughter of Robert Gilmour Flax Dresser (Deceased) Agnes Gilmour Maiden Name Callender (Deceased) and she married Porterfield Malcolm.

There is no flax dresser in 1841 on FreeCEN. That site found only two of the three in post #2. One a coal miner and the other ind.

I may leave this alone after this

A couple of trees have these parents for the Agnes who married portefield Malcolm..

"James Gilmour
1764–1841

Agnes Anderson
1761–1841

Both from Renfreshire..

Thanks Geoff.

The death in post#1 is part of the large image that makes up the special 1855 records with the extra details.

Porterfield was the informant.

The naming pattern for the children only half fits. It points to both fathers being Robert. Porterfield's father was Robert.
No help re the mothers as daughters were Margaret and Mary so not Agnes and Jean as you would expect.
