Hello,

Alexander COBBAN c. 27 Feb 1824 St Fergus, Banff, Scotland
- parents George COBBAN & Anne KELMAN

George COBBAN, wheelwright, transported to NSW for 14 years per 'John Barry' in 1839.

Title: George Cobban, one of 320 convicts transported on the John Barry, 12 November 1838.
Details: Sentence details: Convicted at Aberdeen Court of Justiciary for a term of 14 years.
Vessel: John Barry.
Date of Departure: 12 November 1838.
Place of Arrival: New South Wales.

Ann and four children (Mary, William, Alexander & Ann) came free per 'Queen Victoria' in 1839. ??

Should that be 1841? Alexander's future spouse Julia CLIFTON was on board the 'Queen Victoria' in 1841 with her family.

Alexander and Julia should appear in NSW from 1850 but I can't find any trace so far. When and where did they both die? There are several variations of the name including COBHAM, COBAN.
