Still assuming we have the right Alexander. Age at marriage and at death point more to 1837 than 1834. But that one mother = Smith.

Don't know if Rutherglen is an error or if we have 3x Alexander born Lanark.

Isobel 1826 fits. Perhaps Alexander understated his age because Minnie was 18 when they married.

Carmunnock just S of Rutherglen.

That's probably Alexander in 1851. If 1857 arrival is correct then there should not be one aged abt 27 in 1861.
