1891 Alexander is with mother [Margaret transcribed as Mary] they are living with her parents Lachlan & Jane Glegg in Dundee, the family were all b. Aberdeen.

1901 Alexander in a reformatory in Adel cum Eccup as a result of stealing a pair of boots in Hull, Dec 1900. Ref: RG13; Piece: 4060; Folio: 34; Page: 6

Looking for anything on Alexander after 1901.

He was known as Alexandra in one record [reformatory school], if it was that I have the record and image. Thanks for confirming, though.

Yeah, I don't know who his father is yet, as he was b. out of wedlock if I have the correct family.

The court assessment in 1900 states his mother's alleged spouse is his stepfather

Interesting area WRY, the reformatory school he attended was North of Leeds

He's not with the family in 1911, so it may be that he stayed in that part of Yorkshire or possibly back to Scotland. Fortunately it's his mother and stepfather that I am more interested in, that is why I am following him for any snippets on parents.

Yeah, I've just seen the image on that one, it indicates he may be resident in Aberdeen when not working... So if it is him he may have gone back to Scotland or it is another chap

Illegitimate son of Margaret Glegg. Alexander Harper Glegg. DoB = 17 Nov 1888. St Nicholas, Aberdeen. Father not mentioned [not sure if Harper is a clue].
