I don't think you have the right Alexander - birthplace is wrong, surname is wrong, occupation is wrong, the only thing which looks about right is his age.

Do you have a marriage to an Isabella between 1858 and 1861?

The Alexander Haston who died Dalmeny 1869 was baptised 29 October 1797 in Linlithgow to Alexander Haston and Ann Wallace

Linlithgow, West Lothian, is 30 miles away from Humbie, East Lothian (Haddingtonshire)

Unfortunately I cannot find a baptism for Alexander nor can I see him in the 1861 Census.

I will agree that is not the right 1861 census. That marriage to Isabella can't be found for that time frame.

No marriage 1800 - 1824 that fits for Henry's parents if Alexander and ? Annan/Annand.

That Alexander in census ? One found in Dysart Fife in 1841 and that's all.

Don't know if any of this will help but I have done a search in the Dalmeny area for baptisms surname starting Hast* and father Alexander and have found the following. Note Abercorn is about 4 miles from Dalmeny.
