Hi everyone,
I am looking for an obituary or similar in any English newspapers, for Alexander Rollo Bolton, was born in Russia in 1900, married 2. Hilda D James in 1972,
the son of Arthur William Bolton and Eugenie Zaozersky.
Alexander died 25th January 1993.Elmbridge Cranleigh Surrey.
I have plenty of stories about Alexander and his life as an author, and career civil servant in the Sudan. But no obit.

His father Arthur William Bolton died 27th June 1912.
Clapham Common Surrey. He was a naval engineer, and was in Russia with the British navy on a friendly visit, when he met the daughter of the Russian General and Commandant at Kronstadt.

I would like to find something along the lines of an obituary for either men.
Then their story will be complete.
Are there any newspapers online for those years?
Thanks for any help...Joan:)

Hi Dennis, I have no connection to Rollo, I am assisting a friend ( Beverley Russell), in her research,
I placed this post to see if anyone had access to records any records other than the ones I use. The obituary was to finalise that section.
I will pm ( personal message) you.
Thanks Joan.

Hello Brian, My research on Rollo, was for a friend, Beverley Russell, who had links to that family.
I have forwarded your information to her, she asked me to thank you, and tell you she did not know of his links to Persia, nor has she found an obit yet. But she has this photograph of him.
Thank you, Joan
