Alexander Sutherland Munro born potentially 1911 in Wick Scotland

Hello

I was wondering if anyone could help me in where to start in searching for scottish ancestors. I have an ancestor named Alexander Sutherland Munro. Born around 1911 in wick, Scotland and died in 1980 Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

What i know from his is that he had at least one child names Dorothy Munro and he was married to Mary Rosie but i have no details for her apart from she was born in Wick.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

His marriage to Mary Preston H Rosie in 1947 is also there in Wick 1947 ref 043/66.

Best I can see for a birth for Mary is a Mary L P Hislop Rosie in 1913 ref 043/198

You should be able to find Alexander and his family in the 1911 census on Scotlandspeople. I see an Alexander S Munro, aged 3, in the 1911 census. That looks likely to be him. Registration district is Thurso.
