I have no death for Alfred. The E/R suggests he died between 1942 and 1949.

Can we rule this one out by finding him still married to Mary after 1910 and by finding he is not a saddler.

Alfred Ernest Davey was born on 20 November 1877 in Sandhurst, Victoria, Australia. He was the son of Thomas Henry Davey and Emma Jane Greathead. He married Mary Ellen Evans Warne, daughter of Francis Warne and Jane Ann Evans, on 15 February 1905 the ceremony took place at the home of the bride's parents at Thompson Street, Bendigo.

Well, saddler and "youngest son of T. IT. J3avey, Bendigo" is enough to convince me he married twice. That would be T. H. Davey.

The pob Bendigo and the reg with Sandhurst seemed to indicate we had 2x Alfred Ernest.

One more clincher. He is buried with his 1st wife although his 2nd died before he did.

A tree has the birth for Thomas as 1833 St Austell and baptism in 1839 at Finsbury St Luke. It also shows him in 1851 at St Austell.

The only Thomas I can find in 1851 in St Austell is with family but parents are not William and Grace.

The tree shows a marriage to Emma GREATHEAD but lists a death for Thomas in 1926 Middle Park as against 1929 Sandham. It also shows no parents for Thomas.

So, as usual, what parts of the tree are correct?

It also has the death of Thomas Henry as 1926. If we rule out the 1929 death with mother = Grace then we are left with this one and I don't see how it can fit:

No, I'm a Hamilton and very remotely connected by the Kilfeder and Mellefont families from Ireland.

I was just trying to prove or disprove some of the details in trees publised on the net re the Davey family.
