WATKINS JANE Pontypool 11a 290

Qld. Death 1892/C01513 Hall Jane - William Watkins - ** born England aged 43 ** Probably should say born Wales

Looking for birth of Alice and arrival in Australia and any other details such as 1881 census for Hall family. There are a few Jane Watkins born in Wales around 1849. :D And a few marriages in Wales for a William Watkins.

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks gibbo. :) That's the easy bit.

No need to search for them in 1881 now.

Finding the right William Watkins will be a bit tougher.

Only 103x Alice born in England and Wales 1874-1875.

And 64x Jun Qtr 1874- Jun Qtr 1875.

If Monmouthshire then:

Births Mar Qtr 1875
Hall Alice Crickhowell 11b 134

This might help narrow down Alice's birth.

On the passenger list she is noted in the age "under 1" column.

Departure date 15 June 1875 sailed from London.
Arrival date 9 October 1875

The name William Watkins comes from Jane's death index. I wonder if they got it right cause its only as good as the informant gives and with no mother's name how well did the informant know her.

So right gibbo. :)

But impossible if we ignore it was William.
