father = James possibly and mother = ?

I'd like a look up for Alice please in 1861, 1871 and 1881.


Alice married in NSW in 1885 - register says spinster aged 32 born Taunton.

Seems there is a router down on the route between my ISP and FS site.

Thank you very much.

The marriage entry in the register had no mother listed and no occupation for James. The entry was easy to read so I'm sure it says Alice Maud and Taunton and father = James.

So far I have no death and no arrival in Australia for Alice.

I've had no access to FS for 3 days.

Perhaps she put her age up because her spouse was a widower aged 60.

I ruled out the one that fitted for age because it was RD Frome and now I can't find one around 1859 in RD Taunton.

Well, not as PALMER. :2fun: This is a connection to the LEWTON/LEAR/HODGES/WILMOTT mob where many births and marriages were under the mother's family name.

She is not there in 1891 so looks like she is your Alice unless she is there married of course!

It possible Alice pretended to be older when she married.

A bit curious only some of the birth reg seem to be there.
